How do I pay?

Credit/Debit card is currently the only payment method Bosuns Locker accept. By entering your details at the check out stage you authorise us to debit your card with the total cost of the products selected (including VAT if applicable) and delivery costs. Any refunds made in respect of returns or cancellation will be made to the same card. Bosuns Locker reserve the right to cancel any order that we suspect may be fraudulent.

What about gift vouchers?

Unfortunately we are unable to accept our gift vouchers as payment for goods online at the moment.  Hopefully this will be rectified in the not too distant future.  In the meantime, should you wish to redeem a voucher, you can do so by calling us on 0131 331 3875 and placing your order over the phone, and then sending us the voucher as payment.  Your order will be despatched, subject to stock availability, as soon as we receive the voucher and successfully take any outstanding payment with a credit/debit card which you will need to supply.  Normal postage will apply to goods being sent.

Gift vouchers can be used in person at our Port Edgar chandlery at any time.

Do prices include VAT?

All prices stated on the website are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable, currently at 15%.
Prices and availability of products may be changed at any time without notice.

What about credit card security?

Bosuns Locker use Protx as our secure payment processor. All transactions take place on Protx Secure Servers and Bosuns Locker have no access to credit card numbers submitted at the check out stage.

What do I need if I return some goods?

If you wish to return a product purchased from us, you may do so within 14 working days of receiving the product, by contacting us on our Contact Us page or by emailing [email protected], to obtain authorisation.  Failure to do so may result in unnecessary delays in the refund or exchange of your goods. Please include your order number to enable us to trace the order.

We will refund the price of the product, less any delivery costs charged, unless the product is defective, in which case the full price paid will be refunded.

How much are your delivery charges and how long will it take?

In Store Collection is of course free of charge.  Your goods can be picked up during standard opening hours from the shop (address and opening times are available on the contact page).  You will need to bring the credit/debit card used to make the purchase, along with a printout of your order confirmation.  Additional proof of ID and address may also be required.  For security, your goods will not be released without these.

Gift Voucher delivery for UK mainland is available at £1.00 using standard Royal Mail 1st Class Post.  This option can be used if your order contains gift vouchers ONLY (no limit).  If your order contains additional items, another delivery method must be selected.

Standard delivery for UK mainland normally takes 2 -3 working days from date of dispatch, but please allow 5 working days prior to contacting us to chase your delivery.  For out of stock items please allow a maximum of 21 days delivery.  There is a standard delivery charge for UK mainland of £4.95 per order for goods up to 15kg and up to 1.5m length.

Next Day delivery for UK mainland is available at £8.50 per order for goods up to 15kg and up to 1.5m length.  Order before 2.00pm to ensure next day. We will contact you to advise if your order contains any items that are out of stock, or should we be unable to meet this delivery time.

Exclusions.  For overseas orders, heavy or bulky items, pyrotechnics and other hazardous goods an additional charge will apply.  If this is the case we will contact you for your approval.
