Orkney Pilothouse 24

The Flagship of the Orkney Pilothouse range, designed to comply with RCD 'Offshore' category B requirements and capable of serious passagemaking and more. Benefitting from a wide beamed hull and a moderate deadrise aft she is easy to drive and stable even in following seas, cruising with the single Volvo inboard at 12-14 Knots makes for an economical and comfortable expedition.

The cabin enjoys an openplan interior, with a galley to the port side and a seperate toilet compartment to starboard, the wheelhouse is raised and combined with the large windows makes for a commanding helms position. Out on deck the fully molded cockpit has high combings and large scuppers for selfdraing purposes, a raised bench area to the aft houses the Volvo D3-190DPS 5 cylinder diesel inboard, coupled to the Volvo DPS duo prop stern drive leg.

Although most fittings come as standard with the Pilothouse 24 there is a small list of optional extras such as, full or half cockpit canopies, diesel fired warm air heating or a 12volt refrigerator. These can be specified whilst the boat is being built or retro fitted to an existing vessel.

Due to the size and unique nature of the Orkney Pilothouse 24 packages they are all built to order. This would usually take around 10 weeks from initial order to delivery and handover.
