The Orkney Longliner is the iconic displacement fishing boat. The longliner has been in service for decades and is used by commercial operators, fishing clubs and leisure users alike. The GRP hull established Orkneys reputation for solid and seaworthy vessels capable of safely returning to harbour even in heavy seas.

The Orkney package includes the fitted GRP cuddy with windows offering some protection and shelter from the worst of the weather. It may also be supplied with the folding dodger (see pictures) which can be packed away whilst fishing, or alternatively as a completely open boat.

A selection of motors are available but this package has the new Honda BF8LHU which benefits from the new twist grip gears technology allowing the operator to select gears or throttle with just one hand and without taking his hand from the tiller. It is of particuler relevance for anyone operating the boat alone, as they will always have a free hand to pass or receive mooring warps whilst no relinquishing complete control of the outboard.

The package is finished on a galvanized road trailer giving support and easy launch and recovery even singlehanded.
