BROKERAGE TERMS OF BUSINESS All dealings between vendor, broker and purchaser are governed by The British Boating Industry Code of Practice for the Sale of Used Boats.
The commission scale is: Subject to a minimum charge of £250.00 (£200.00 for Dinghies) - all plus VAT
2) Provide any photographs or sales literature you may have. 3) Provide copies of any other items relating to the vessel, such as survey reports, original purchase invoices, bill of sale, registration documents. 4) We try to sell your boat at a realistic price. Market forces will dictate your boats value at certain times of the year, and we will be glad to help with this. Please indicate your asking price, and if possible, the lowest price acceptable.
5) If possible, bring your boat to the Bosun's Locker or Port Edgar. Your boat will be more visibly for sale and customers come here motivated to buy. If our storage area is full, storage can be arranged on site at Port Edgar, indoor or out, with the Marina Office 0131 331 3330. And if the boat is here on site - please give us a key! 6) Ensure your boat is clean and tidy and in the best possible condition to sell, i.e. No personal gear lying around, sails stowed etc. Ensure inventory is complete. We have facilities for storage of all removable items. 7) Ensure we have a contact number for you during the day and evening. 8) If you move your boat from its present site, withdraw her from sale, or make any alteration to the spec, please let us know immediately.
